Helen Selorm Wohoyie received the Superlative Presenter Award at the 12th World Conference on Women's Studies in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Helen Selorm Wohoyie, a PhD candidate at the Center for Research on Inequality and Standards of Living, Doctoral School of Sociology, HSE University, presented her research, “Normal, but Unspeakable: Intergenerational Transmission of Menstrual Stigma and Structural Violence in Ghana,” at the 12th World Conference on Women's Studies in Chiang Mai, Thailand, held from May 28 to 30, 2026

The presentation was delivered during the technical session “Gender Justice: Ecology, Climate, and Economy.”
Helen received the conference’s Superlative Presenter Award in recognition of the quality of her presentation. The conference, organized by the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), was held under the theme “The Power of Dialogue: Abolishing the Conditions of Voicelessness.”
