The first pre-defense of the year 2024

On January 26, the Graduate School of Education held the first pre-defense of this year. Han Zhang, a 2023 graduate of our Graduate School of Education, successfully passed the pre-defense with her dissertation "Analyzing Online Peer Editing Behaviors and Their Relationship with Student Short-term and Long-term Writing Improvement". Han Zhang’s academic supervisor is Jamie Costley, PhD, a Leading Research Fellow at the International Laboratory for Evaluation of Practices and Innovations in Education, Institute of Education, HSE University. 

 

The experts were: 

1. Natalya Smirnova, PhD, Deputy Dean at the School of Arts and Humanities, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, HSE University, Campus in St. Petersburg

2. Ali Shehadeh, Professor of Applied Linguistics and TESOL, Coordinator of the Master of Education Program, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, UAE University
