In addition to the general document package, candidates applying to the Advanced Doctoral Programme should also provide:
Application form with visa of an Academic director of chosen Doctoral School; Two letters of recommendation by a researcher (academic supervisor or head of a research project where the candidate took part) that evaluate the candidate’s research potential and describe participation in research projects. At least one letter of recommendation should come from the institution where the candidate graduated. More than two recommendation letters can be submitted. The letters must be signed by the recommender and include contact information (phone number or email address); CV (curriculum vitae) including information on the candidate’s education, work experience, and language proficiency (in print and digital form); Statement of purpose in English (up to 1,000 words) where a candidate gives reasons for choosing the university, faculty, and programme (in print and digital form); English language certificate: academic IELTS with at least six points, or TOEFL IBT (Internet Based), at least 80 points, or TOEFL PBT (Paper Based) at least 500 points.
Per decision of the Admission Committee candidates who graduate from a fully English-taught Master’s programme can apply without a language certificate. Per decision of an Academic director candidates may provede certificates DELF B2 or DALF C1 with at least 85 points, or German language certificate with at least «gut / sehr gut».
