Interdisciplinary conference "Comorbid Field 3.0: Social Well-being, Health and Medicine in Multiple Contexts" will be held on 3-5 December, 2026 in offline and online formats at the HSE University.

Helen Selorm Wohoyie, a PhD candidate at the Center for Research on Inequality and Standards of Living, Doctoral School of Sociology, HSE University, presented her research, “Normal, but Unspeakable: Intergenerational Transmission of Menstrual Stigma and Structural Violence in Ghana,” at the 12th World Conference on Women's Studies in Chiang Mai, Thailand, held from May 28 to 30, 2026

Congratulations to Lika Kapustina, a research assistant at the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (ANR-Lab), on being awarded a Russian Presidential Scholarship.

Effective July 1, 2026, a new rule requires all visa-free foreign citizens to use the "Gosuslugi RuID" mobile app when entering Russia. Applications must be submitted at least 72 hours before arrival. Exemptions apply to Belarusian citizens, children under 6, diplomats, service passport holders, and official delegation members.

On April 23, the International Laboratory for Population and Health Research at HSE University held its regular scientific seminar. Pavel Kishenin, a Research Intern at the laboratory, presented a report titled "Evolution of Fertility in Russia by Mother’s Age and Birth Order: A Birth Cohort Lens."

As part of the conference, laboratory analyst Sergey Davydov supervised a series of events united by the topic of artificial intelligence, and junior research fellow Artem Oganyan's report on moral disengagement was awarded a grant from the Future Research Foundation.

On December 15, the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research hosted PhD seminars for Mary Laval and Tugrul Eroglu.

On December 8, the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research held postgraduate seminars with Vlada Mikhaleva and Georgy Sharov.

On December 10, Maria Malofeeva, a postgraduate student and research intern at the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, spoke at the GES-2 Community Center as part of a series of lectures from the ongoing "Deaf and Voiced" program of the "Exploring the Deaf Community" and "Sign Language Lovers Club" projects.

Mohammed Yassir Ali Osman, from Sudan, graduated from HSE’s Master’s Programme in Population and Development. He is now a doctoral student at the HSE Doctoral School of Sociology and conducts research at the Laboratory of Social and Demographic Policies at the Vishnevsky Institute of Demography. Recently he presented his dissertation on the migration intention of African students in Russia. In this interview with the HSE News Service, Mohammed Yassir Ali Osman shares the highlights of his research, his future plans after completing his PhD, and his advice for prospective researchers.
