International applicants pay a tuition fee in the amount of 654 000 RUB per year upon enrollment.
Exemptions: if you'd been admitted through fully funded by Russian government quota grants.

Selection for places on a tuition fee basis is not implemented in the recruitment year 2026.

The HSE campuses in Nizhny Novgorod and St. Petersburg also admit candidates to the Doctoral Programme.

Examination location: Moscow (for those applying to HSE Nizhny Novgorod, examinations are held in Nizhny Novgorod; for those applying to HSE St. Petersburg, examinations are held in St. Petersburg).

• Only those who have submitted the full package of documents are allowed to take entrance examinations.
• Documents can be sent via mail with delivery notification and a list of enclosures.
• PhD students studying for places with a fee are not provided with a dormitory.

Acceptance

After submitting your application package and passing the entry exams, you must wait for the Examination Committee to make its decision on admission. Successful candidates will be enrolled starting November 1.
